Curtis J. Pruder
Partner,
Senior Business Catalyst
Curtis Pruder has been a prominent force in Hawaii’s advertising
industry for more than 25 years. He has been featured in Honolulu
Magazine and is a former contributor to Pacific Business News.
Pruder also teaches marketing at the University of Hawaii.
The University of Delaware graduate was the first representative
from Hawaii to win the National Jaycees Speech Championship.
He has served as board chairman for Abilities Unlimited and
is a recipient of the Arthritis Foundation Hawaii Branch Distinguished
Service Award. Pruder started out in radio broadcasting 31
years ago while still living on the mainland. He launched
his Island career in the early 90’s at KQMQ FM radio in Honolulu.
Later, Pruder joined the advertising sales team at KGU-AM
radio, also based in Honolulu. In 1995, Pruder and Associates
Advertising was born with a client base of more than 40 companies.
Fusion Marketing was first conceptualized in 2014. Curtis
and Steve built the company with the recognition that, to
best serve their clients, they would need to bring the best
of the best in marketing and advertising together under one
roof.
Steve Underwood
Partner, Creative Director
Steve Underwood has owned and operated a full-service graphic
design studio for more than 25 years. As both an entrepreneur
and artist, Underwood handled the creative end of the company,
in addition to production and sales, accounting and operations.
Underwood’s career began in one of the nation’s leading advertising
meccas, Chicago’s Michigan Avenue. There he worked as an art
director at Leo Burnett and Young, servicing a variety of
local and national accounts. He created brand-ing campaigns
and illustrations from concept throughout completion. The
North-ern Illinois University graduate moved to Hawaii in
1990 to begin a family and to open Underwood Creative with
his wife AnnMarie. In 1996, he opened Under-wood Graphics
to specialize and focus his attention on graphic design and
illustration. Underwood’s entrepreneurial responsibilities
picked up where his creative abilities left off. Other duties
included account supervision, scheduling, estimates, vendor
management, photo direction, and production.
